This Privacy Policy explains how the EV Cost Savings Calculator (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) at evsavings.net handles information when you use it. We built this as a simple, free tool and we keep data collection to a minimum.

Information you enter

The calculator asks for things like your ZIP code, state, vehicle, and estimated prices so it can compute your savings. These inputs are used only to look up public reference data (gas prices, electricity rates, vehicle fuel economy) and to display your results. We do not require an account, and we do not store your inputs in a personal profile.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical details for each request — such as IP address, timestamp, and the API endpoint called — for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. These logs are retained only for operational purposes.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics (for example, Plausible or Google Analytics) to understand aggregate, anonymized usage — such as how many people visit and which pages are popular. This helps us improve the tool. Analytics data is not used to identify individual visitors.
